Happy Mouth Happy Planet

homemade-toothpasteYour teeth are an important part of your health. Going zero waste doesn’t mean having to sacrifice your health for the sake of our planet.

In my video below, I run through my zero waste dental care.

Billions of plastic toothbrushes are thrown out every year. Swapping to a bamboo toothbrush is one of the most simple and sustainable zero waste swaps.

Using toothpaste and floss without a plastic tubes, caps, cases, and the like is achievable as well. Your teeth and the environment will thank you!

My floss is Eco-Dent Gentle Floss, which I bought from a local store. You can also buy it through their website or Amazon.

My toothpaste recipe is from Lauren over at Trash is for Tossers.

My toothbrush brand is The Green Root. I originally began with Brush with Bamboo. Their packaging is from recycled materials, but unfortunately, there was plastic involved. The Green Root comes totally in cardboard- so it’s recyclable and compostable without the worry of it polluting the ocean.

Now go brush and floss!
